FIRP Lab. offers the services of over 20 Professors from ULA, i.e. engineers, pharmacists, and chemists with a wide range of expertise, some of them with previous experience in industry. About 20 other reseachers are associated with FIRP Lab. in Mérida, as well as the manpower of a network of varios R&D Centers in Venezuela and abroad. We have a wealthy “critical mass” of human ressources and a quarter-century experience in collaborating with industrial partners, which is unique in Venezuela. This allows us to provide a top-notch support to assist many industries from transnational companies to small business in the field of surfactant science and technolgy through a variety of services :

• Bibliographical screening of information and technical analysis and diagnosis

• Chemical analysis, determination of particle/drop size (5 nm - 100 µm), water treatment issues, surfactant characterization, viscometry and rheometry, certifications.

• Preliminary tests of equipments before you invest money to purchase one.

• Training of your staff in using scientific equipments for standard measurements in surface science (drop size determination, tensiometry, rheometry, nephelometry ...)
